Last Wednesday evening 4th November, just before lockdown, saw key members of Fordingbridge Rotary celebrating 50 years of membership by one of its longest serving members, Foster Herd.
The picture depicts this year’s President, Toni Butler, congratulating Foster and presenting him with a certificate for 50 years of service..
Foster joined Rotary in November 1970.
His career has always been in catering, and hotelling, both in the UK and in France.
He also spent some time in the Territorial Army, as an officer.
He has been President of two Rotary Clubs, Woking and Fordingbridge, and is still the Booking Secretary at Fordingbridge.
