On Monday 19 June 2023, Councillor Neville Penman, Chairman of New Forest District Council, raised the Armed Forces Day flag at Appletree Court in Lyndhurst.
Cllr Neville Penman, Chairman, was joined by Cllr Jill Cleary, Leader, and Cllr Alvin Reid, the Council’s Armed Forces Champion.
Cllr Neville Penman said: “We recognise the important role and contribution made to our country by those who serve, and have served, in His Majesty’s Armed Forces, and raise the Armed Forces Day flag to show our continued support and gratitude.”
Armed Forces Week is an annual event and the flag will fly at Appletree Court until the end of Armed Forces Day on Saturday 24 June.
