Last Wednesday was the final Wednesday of January: hence the “New Forest Jazz Workshop” returned to Godshill Village Hall, for its monthly meeting, the first one of the new year.
We tried two new numbers, one was a “free improvisation” which warmed up the room nicely, and the other was a band arrangement of a well-known Glenn Miller number, “Moonlight Serenade”! (from 1941)
We covered 7 tunes that evening. The next meeting will be on the final Wednesday of February (the 26th), at Godshill Village Hall, right opposite the Fighting Cocks Pub.
Three new members joined us this month.
