Following the provision of the new toilet block and refreshment kiosk in the Memorial Gardens, works commence on Monday 12th October 2015 to extend the children’s play area and provide exciting new equipment.
Many new items will be placed between the existing equipment and the Memorial driveway which have been chosen to encourage a variety of activities for children of different ages.
Works have already been completed to refurbish the paddling pool and skatepark, refurbishment of the Memorial Gates and entrance is currently being undertaken and further landscaping and enhancement works are planned to the Memorial Gardens.
The Town Council hope that these works together with the replacement or refurbishment of the Recreation Ground pavilion will enable users of the facilities to enjoy the benefits of these projects for many years to come.
