As part of our Planned Maintenance programme, this is to inform you that we will be undertaking carriageway resurfacing, including the removal of the block paving in High Street, Fordingbridge from Bridge Street to Normandy Way.

The works are programmed to start mid-June 2024 and are expected to take up to five weeks to complete.

Due to the impact the works will have on traffic and to minimise disruption, it will be necessary to carry out works during the first two weeks under a 24-hour continuous road closure, with working times between the hours of 07:30 – 18:00hrs.

The remaining three weeks of works will be undertaken at night between the hours of 20:00 – 06:00hrs, with the road reopened to traffic outside of working hours.

As a resident / business, you are receiving this letter to inform you that, due to the close proximity of your property to the works, you are within an area which may experience some noise disturbance overnight.

We are aware of the issues created by night working and will endeavour to keep noise levels reduced whenever possible.

Approximately 2 weeks prior to works commencing, you will receive a further letter confirming the start date and working hours.

Pedestrian access will be available at all times.
