The New Forest Jazz Workshops have resumed after the Summer break. It was great to see so many jazzers!

Details of two one-day, day-time, workshops that we’re running, are:

  1. a) Sunday 13th December, and the tutor will be Mark Bassey, who is known to most members of the NFJW, and will be held at Godshill Village Hall. It’s aimed at all players, except extreme beginners
  2. b) Saturday 16th January, and the tutor will be Earl Jackson, a not-unknown session musician/guitarist, who will be focussing on rhythm sections

They will both be held at Godshill Village Hall, 10.00 am – 4.00 pm, and the price is £35 per person, per event, to include the hire of the hall, teas, coffees, cakes and biscuits etc, and all tutor fees. Do let us know if you’re interested: the Mark Bassey workshop, in December is almost full.

This means that the NFJW diary for the next few months looks like this:

  1. a) Wednesday evening, 7.30 pm, 28th October
  2. b) Wednesday evening, 7.30 pm, 25th November
  3. c) Mark Bassey workshop, 10.00 – 4.00 pm, Sunday 13th December (see above)
  4. d) Wednesday evening, 7.30 pm, 16th December
  5. e) Earl Jackson rhythm workshop, 10.00 am – 4.00 pm, Saturday 16th January (see above)
  6. f) Wednesday evening, 7.30 pm, 27th January 2016
