Last Thursday evening, 15th January, saw the first Fordingbridge Twinning Association meeting of the year.
Now that the festivities of Christmas and the New Year are over, there was a lot to discuss.
It was agreed that the Association is financially healthy, active and still has a lot to offer.
The price of membership is being held to £10.00 per household: pretty good value, it has to be admitted.
Five forthcoming events were discussed including the AGM (on 30th April), the annual Boules evening (on 11th June), a musical evening in the Autumn (on 10th October), and Twinning involvement in the Fordingbridge Festival Day in the Summer, date yet to be determined.
However, the first event will be the annual Murder Mystery evening, which will take place on Saturday evening, 28th February.
The venue will be Avonway Community Centre, and tickets will be £15.00 each, (to include a hot meal).
They will be available from “Caxton’s Décor” and “Tina at Timothy’s”, both in central Fordingbridge.
The theme will be the “Red Rose Murders”, set in 1950s Hollywood.
The cigar-chomping agent to the stars, Rick Toad, is found dead in suspicious circumstances, floating face-down in the swimming pool at his mansion, surrounded by a hundred red roses.
The whole film world is shocked to its core and a range of Rick Toad’s clients are suspects!
The attached picture illustrates two FTA actors, both suitably attired for the event.
