Residents in the New Forest have rated information update emails from New Forest District Council (NFDC) 9 out of 10 for the fourth year in a row.
578 people completed a survey in November to give their thoughts about the emails they receive from the council.
Comments added as part of the survey about the emails included, “I find the emails very useful, they give me the exact information I’m looking for”, “They are relevant and concise and are much valued and appreciated”, and “The NFDC emails are really useful and make me feel secure.”
Each year NFDC ask their email subscribers for general feedback as well as a rating out of 10 for how useful and easy to understand the emails are, and if they contain relevant information.
The regular update emails started during the pandemic in 2020 as a way for the council to update their residents about the health restrictions and how the council were supporting residents during the coronavirus crisis.
Since 2020, the emails have developed to expand on the work of the council, support for their residents and updates from partners.
Around 17,000 residents are signed up to get email updates from the council.
