Last Wednesday 25th May 2022, saw the latest meeting of the Two Bridges Group.
This group finds itself in the position of increasing work-loads, and a decreasing number of drivers.
Two Bridges is a voluntary care group offering transport to those with health problems and with difficult access to transport.
The group of people who help elderly and infirm people get to hospital, doctor and dentist appointments, is based locally to Fordingbridge, covering all the surrounding areas, including Godshill, Alderholt, Sandleheath, Damerham, Martin and Rockbourne.
Everybody in the Two Bridges organisation is a volunteer and the group survives financially totally on donations.
Petrol expenses are paid to the drivers.
Being a Two Bridges volunteer is immensely rewarding as our clients are very appreciative.
The role is extremely flexible so it doesn’t matter if drivers are only available occasionally, any help is still welcome!
